Your Father passes away and you think you can turn to your Step Mom.
What do you do when you have family members that turn on you?
When they try to act like you were the only problem?
When you’re learning how to grieve and trying to accept the fact your father is gone but your Step Mom won’t stop sending you mean hateful messages...
What do you do?
This will be harder to do than accepting the fact that your Dad is gone.
Forgiving someone who has caused you so much pain, someone who did premeditated things to send to you to break your heart...
The only way you’re going to feel peace within yourself is if you just forgive.
Dear Step Mom,
I forgive you.
For the things that were said.
For the things that were personally sent to me.
I forgive you for trying to break me down when I was already at my lowest point.
You lost your Husband.
I couldn’t imagine the pain you’re feeling.
Your entire life is now up in the air on what to do next and I can't imagine that.
I forgive you for taking your anger out on me.
I want you to know my brother and I talk about you often.
We both agree, we just want to hug you.
We just want to talk about the good times and reminisce about our father because besides all of his kids, you knew him best.
But, we forgive you.
We hope you forgive us for all the coulda, shoulda, woulda.
We are sorry we were never given the opportunity to tell you in person how thankful we were for you being by our fathers side for 10 years.
We forgive you and we hope you forgive us too.
In the midst of all this tragedy, we truly hope that you have found peace.
We hope this new stage of life is happy and healthy.
My favorite memory of us was when we all had a sleep over at my condo during the Holidays and we went out and instead of “toilet papering” a house we wrapped it with Christmas wrapping!
That was so much fun.
These are the memories we are going to hold on to.
We love you.
Goodbye Step Mom
